I am an avid student and enjoy all aspects of computer technology. In my past careers, I have taught in Montessori schools for sixteen years. Then in 1997, I made a career change into the IT the field. I obtained two associates degrees from Kalamazoo Valley Community College in Michigan – one in mathematics and one in computer information systems. When I moved back to New Jersey, I pursued my passion for computers and received a programming degree certificate from Brick Computer Science Institute. I loved my job as a computer operator with VNU Business Media in Lakewood, NJ. Since then I have held two part-time jobs simultaneously: a teller with TD Bank and a groundskeeper with All Saints Regional Catholic School.

I am passionate about information technology. Because I am so excited about all aspects of IT, I continue to take courses related to information technology. I also pursued a MCAD certificate. I was fortunate to attend a job training program which equipped me with relevant IT jargon. I also pursued continuing education classes at Ocean Community College in VB.NET, ASP.NET, SQL as well as an A+ certification class.

In addition to my IT passion, my hobbies include golf, reading, and chess. Chess is my avocation. When I’m not working or studying, I play chess. I founded a local chess club in Barnegat, NJ. I also participate in Hamilton Chess Club’s monthly chess tournaments. I have competed in several larger chess tournaments conducted by the Continental Chess Association including the World Chess Open in Philadelphia.
